Abstract

The Atlas Temático Observatório das Migrações em São Paulo – Migrações Internacionais (Thematic Atlas Migration Observatory in São Paulo – International Migrations), launched by the Center for Population Studies Elza Berquó, from State University of Campinas (Unicamp), analyzes the social and demographic characteristics of international migration in Brazil, especially in the State of São Paulo, between 2000 and 2016. It provides information on the nature of migratory flows to Brazil in the 21st century, such as the presence of black and indigenous international migrants, and the distribution of immigrants throughout the country. The Atlas provides subsidies for the development of public policies towards this population.
